Want to understand the trad wife world? Read "Everyone Is Lying to You", by Jo Piazza

Fairy recently, I decided that I had to balance my life. For so many reasons, all cults, all

the time is NOT good for my mental health. I’m trying, at least, to reduce my intake of

cult/coercive control media and books, which is challenging for a therapist specializing

in cult recovery.

Then, on July 10th, Tia Levings posted an interview with Jo Piazza, author of the (then)

soon-to-be released, Everyone Is Lying to You. The title was selling point enough. The

topic made it a must have: Trad-wife influencers making boatloads of money on social

media channels, a shattered friendship, and a murder that peels back all the layers.

I pre-ordered on July 10th. It arrived last Tuesday, July 16. I read it in 3 days.

This fictional account about fictionalized perfect lives, staged, performed and pitched as real, shows the constant calculation, strategy and planning behind the scenes. It also exposes the painfully ugly underbelly.

I have a feeling that this page-turner tags closely enough to the reality, maybe slightly

exaggerated, maybe not.
